Hardwired networks that come off of a HH3000 LAN port are separate and independent networks from the LAN provided by the Mesh (what you called your ‘secondary wifi’).

A cheap and easy way to connect the two subnets is to use a dusty router (if you have one). A LAN port on the HH3000 should be connected to a LAN port on the Mesh on its WAN interface. The old router should be configured like this:

  • Configure the WAN interface with a static IP address from the HH3000 subnet (perhaps 192.168.2.254).
  • If that’s the addressing scheme your Mesh is using, set the LAN interface to an unused address on the Mesh subnet (perhaps 192.168.1.254). Ensure that the address is not part of Mesh’s DHCP scope.
  • Disable DHCP on the old router LAN.
  • If you do not need to use the old router’s WiFi, turn it off.

    You can then configure the mesh with a static route. Gateway 192.168.1.254 reaches destination 192.168.2.0/24
